What Children Likes and Wants

Just like any other adult, children have different wishes at each age and stage of their growth. Each child is also exceptional, there are things and activities that can help children learn, have fun, experience success, and feel good about them. For sure you want these kids to enjoy their progress and record most happy moments while they are still young.

Most infants like to hear sounds or music and to sing, to read books with colorful images, to be taken outside for a short walk, to learn new things by describing it to them what they see, touch, smell, and hear.

Most toddlers still like infant activities but also like to: run, jump, hide, climb; jump, to imitate others sing or dance, explore and find objects to move, build with blocks or Legos, play pretend house, park and other places.

Most school-agers like: board games and computer games, to make crafts, art trips to gardens, and museums, camping, biking, and going on a picnic, preparing favorite snacks, performing on a play with costumes and props, and planting flowers in a garden.

Most teenagers still enjoy board games, cards, computer games, athletics, crafts, and trips. However, they also like: watching movies, shopping, dinning out, and playing solitary games and privacy.

Although children of different ages have different needs and interests, playing with other siblings can improve their learning and understanding. The time you spend together will help them to make good memories as they grow.  Parents should know better their children’s likes and interest in order to have good times together while allowing them to do what they like.  There are times that you buy things for them, it is good or you to know what things they want for you to give what really makes them smile and happy. Knowing your kids create better parent-child relationship.
